Aaaahhhhh so good to have another video!!! I think Iโ€™m gonna love this series!!!

  2. Human 2347

Ah I remember when u just started making vids, rockets so small, and now so much bigger. They grow up so fast

  3. Velocity Launch systems

Almost at 300k subs, awesome to see the progress you’ve made over the 3 years I’ve been watching

  4. Veer Khanna

Future of Elton musk keep it up ๐Ÿ‘

  5. Alexander Hackworth

Me eating the forbidden peanut butter: “was i not suppossed to eat this?”

  6. Gedalia Koehler

Chad Joe out here with the great content.

  7. TJ Hendrickson

God I’ve missed your videos. So glad you’re back!

  8. Peter Stimpel

I am glad you survived the build, Joe ;)

  9. neistridlar

I think the real issue here is that you didn’t put glitter in the epoxy :p

  10. Digital Marketing

I appreciate how hard it is to design, engineer and produce with high quality something flying since the last 2 month i am studying Physics and Aerodynamics along with wing design in order to create my own RC F5J/F3J glider…. Respect

  11. Jean-Marc Rochette

Joe, you get better and better. More and more self derision is a proof of a good mental health. Even if you tend to mispronounce some words… That’s fun, smart and fair play not to cut that at editing. So you’ve worked with the help of the famous Xyla, the adorable universal maker ! How lucky you are. Keep up your great and delightful work !

  12. Simon Bunker

This looks like it will be a great series and a huge learning experience. Any chance you could mention how much it cost (ballpark) in a later video? Those motors look expensive on their own!

  13. Newspaperman57

Awesome! Can’t wait for the rest of the videos! It also seems like you’re doing a lot better, and i can’t help but be a bit concerned that you’re setting so tight deadlines so shortly after burning out? Just be mindful of what your body tells you and take care of yourself

  14. Paul Paulson

8:35 That’s why you don’t just listen to your cat. Always double check what they say, because cats tend to purposely give you false information if they feel like they can get away with it.

  15. David Richards

    That intro ๐Ÿ‘Œ

  16. Hรฅvard

Quality of your videos is really sky rocketing.

  17. ECLIPSE space exploration

    Everyone: plays games
Me: gotta go guys BPS just posted!!!!!๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ
Ps: you are my hero mr Barnard.

  18. arun kumarv

    Whoya !!

  19. 420dax420

    Great video! Keep being awesome.

  20. ShiaLaBluff

You probably already know this, but there are magnetic switches commonly used in model aircraft to arm/disarm engines that you just pull off/put on the side of the switch :)

  21. Air Command Rockets

Great video Joe! Sharing the things that went wrong is a great way to teach others.

  22. Cyborg X

    Teacher: Who is hitler?
Joey: Hitler is a… We will talk about it later

  23. Kimball Goss

That head-into-epoxy physically hurt me to watch. My condolences on the landing, but congrats on getting up to 10k, thatโ€™s crazy!

  24. Michael Ding

feel like you added too much black dye the first time round and second epoxy shot would benifit from having the dye there. It’s real hard to tell if the expoxy is mixed properly without the die especially with it being so thiccc. It did work in the end so guess it’s good enough :)

  25. Sachit Shastri

Great job Joe, Really looking forward to the avionics video!!

  26. Mortally Challenged

    Love that prediction chart shirt!

  27. Pronto

“Crazy accelerated build schedule.” Jeff Bezos needs your help. Really needs your help. I’m serious. Just call him.

  28. Jahid Ahmed

    2:02 I can’t stop my laughing after seeing this๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

    A few secs later

    Me:-rollling on the floor๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  29. James Detenbeck

There were seven people that didnt like this? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Rock on joe, nice work!

  30. the SARAN RAJ

I wanted to build my own rocket, this gonna be awesome ๐Ÿ’ฅ

  31. RBS Indonesia

long waiting for finally the video update too๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ I also want to be like mr. can make my rocket from Indonesia

  32. Al T

Praise be upon Gunch, for the rocket man had uploaded once again

  33. rpavlik1

Meanwhile Xyla is out there making it all look easy. That said, no avionics or payload besides some wooden veneer and cameras.

  34. Greg Krekelberg

Joe, are you keeping a journal of the stuff you’re learning?

  35. forrest225

I love the power hatch. Very slick.

  36. forrest225

I’ve gotten epoxy on a lot of places, but never dipped my head in it lol.

  37. Ben Abbott

4:09 Had a very similar mishap with epoxy once; except I wasn’t wearing a hat. Let’s just say it wasn’t too fun.

  38. Shane Cullen

Hey bestie, I freaking love this video, you did an amazing job!

  39. Aldo Flores

I really enjoy watching your videos, it makes me remember my childhood experimenting on physics whit simple rocket kits, and trying to find out the exact point where a toy going to touch ground after being launched by using the parabolic launch equation and graphic model . Now as an architect and electronics enthusiast, after seeing your space x video series, I realized that i can make my own rocket models, I know that I have a really long way to learn before I can do it, but Iโ€™m to excited in every step, I started to experiment whit Grasshopper over my experience on parametric design and form finding to find the most efficient aerodynamic shapes, I know that Iโ€™m far to be an expert but Iโ€™m really grateful with you to teach me that I can fulfill that dream.

  40. Quality Cesar salad

I just found this channel yesterday and he just uploaded after a while

  41. Call me Freddie

You should program an app or something so you can update when launches are and information about the rocket.

  42. Michael P

Joe you likely had “go fever” You’re not alone on that one. I think you hit the nail on the head. Design, build, bench test, ground test, adjust, refine your logistics process, then set a launch date. Fun watching you go through the process, cheers!

  43. lonl123

Love your videos dude….Please know your work and sharing is really important to some of us..especially during this crazy time we are in. I believe in you dude, and I think at some point your gonna put something in orbit. Keep at it!

  44. AMRT

Why was I expecting you to say,โ€may your skies be blue, and your FINS be low* like bruh

  45. Filipe Fontenele

Hi Joe, What about painting Lumineer with a Tritium based Ink…it is fotoluminescent, it will became iluminated by itself due to Tritium properties and it’s very safe to use, would be nice that paint in a rocket called Lumineer ! :)

  46. BlisterHiker

4:24 – well, maybe you wouldn’t look bad with mohawk hair ๐Ÿ™‚

  47. Michael Meenaghan

Joe, you are delightful. Thank you for sharing your experiences. I look forward to the ‘Fins of Destiny’ video. lol.

  48. Stefan T.

Hi there Joe, bad to hear that Lumineer failed in the end. But I’d say, it seems you did it the SpaceX-way…. I’m excited to see all the Lumineer build videos. And, of course, the next launch!

  49. Some1Gee

“Maybe setting the launch date before starting the build wasn’t a great idea. Again, I think I sort of got away with it.” *sitting behind the destroyed remnants of the tube that housed the avionics*

  50. Ethan Cox

Glad this channel is in existence – this was a great and funny video, thanks for the upload! :)

  51. Richard Puckett

This is like an independent movie adaptation of Liftoff. Awesome work!

  52. Paulius Domarkas

Loved the video, the production quality is superb. Great job, Joe!

  53. UnknownCitizen

    You always say: “we made….”
Is it just a figure of speech or was there a team behind lumineer?
Great video, thanks! You’re the reason I built my first model rocket recently!

  54. William Dye

I subscribed for exactly this kind of “how to” content. I’m here to learn the details needed to either (1) build a rocket or (2) determine that it wouldn’t be worthwhile.

  55. Marc Osterland

On the bright sight: Maybe people stop recognizing you as the guy who drank carbonated milk. Maybe you’re now the guy who epoxied his head

  56. Kidus Dawit

Hey man great job. I was wondering if you could talk about the design and build of the launch pad and tower in one of these episodes.

  57. Torben Baum

Yeah!!! finally a new Video. Keep up

  58. Mohamed Hany

    ุงู„ู„ูŠู„ู‡ ุนูŠุฏ๐Ÿ˜

  59. Xyla Foxlin

JoeeeyBee exceptional video as always! I can’t wait to see your magnificent editing in the rest of this series, and I do still think that head->epoxy clip is the best ad for BPS space merch ;)

  60. Pohjoiskarjala

10:10 I’ve witnessed how vibrations can cause a screw switch to completely back out when working on an electronics bay, scary stuff!

  61. Runtimus

Bae has uploaded, what a time to be alive <3

  62. Cyclone Inc.

    Yes time to binge!

  63. astronut42

Joe: Also, you know what else was a mistake? This right here!
    *ad*
    Perfect timing :P

  64. THE DEVIL MOVIES

Bro I have many things from you <3

  65. John David

    Letss gooo!

  66. Gaming nerd353

I watched the launch live and it was amazing to see bps going to new heights and also keep up the good work the not South African Elon musk.

  67. StruggleStreet2

โ€œMay your skies be blue, and your winds be lowโ€
    Wallops employees: yeh…

  68. Mathboy

Great video but my ears would really appreciate if you got some acoustic paneling for the recording room/office :) Much love <3

  69. Chadwick Wood

Damn man your production quality is top notch.

  70. Orion Aerospace

Idk about you but I personally use G5000 rocketpoxy as my hair gel of choice

  71. nico rodriguez

you should make a tool list with all the tool you use for building rockets and making pieces for them, and also their cost

  72. aspzx

Joe: we’re working on an accelerated timeframe of 4 weeks
Xyla: ok so we got 5 days

  73. InvolvedObserver

Great to see this video! Hope that you are doing well in all aspects of life, not just the ‘learning from your mistakes’ part (which seemed to be the biggest point of this video).

  74. 1.5x playback everything

Ok this is officccially the funniest video you’ve made. Thanks Joe

  75. MrGreenyboy

Great Rocket! I would like to ask what printing filament you use because it is a really nice color and finish?

  76. Peter Ridley

Fantastic engineering, I really love this kind of stuff!.

  77. MikeyB00o

Ive heard Gorilla Glue works well for hair , thanx for making the series

  78. Hekktic

Yes!!!! This is what Iโ€™ve been waiting for!

  79. Fab V.

Well done for that project, looking forward for the future videos !

  80. Jarod Emahizer

Joe, great job! I think I speak for most of the bps patrons and bps channel fans when I say I was absolutely heartbroken when you all cut the feed on the live attempt solidifying Lumineer’s fate. I think we all know from SpaceX that destruction is the pursuit of perfection. It has been extremely inspiring, and again I openly speak for the entire bps.space community, to not only see the channel grow, but the volume of support and the volume of rocketeers (including myself) either re-establish roots in the hobby or start on a journey of their own. Of course, it goes without saying the minutes and moments you show here on youtube, Patreon, your website, or Twitter only reflects a glimpse of the total time you employ designing, developing, creating, testing, and finally launching these vehicles. Keep up the great work!

  81. Mmb 300

    WHO DAFUQ DISLIKED THIS?!?!?!?

  82. Dave's Rocket Shop

Building to a specific launch date has ALWAYS bit me in the butt. Great job on building in that short time!

  83. Peer Moritz

Normally sponsors suck, but I can’t even describe to you how happy I am that you finally have sponsors in your videos. Looking forward for some great content of yours.

  84. Edward Melville

Great video, as usual, can’t wait for the rest of series!!! Loved how you introduced sponsorships and adverts, keep it up.

  85. bhomu bhai

    Hi Joe…
    Long awaited video !
    Ty

  86. Yukon

I have a high appreciation for such good build shots! It takes so much more extra effort and patience. I struggle with even basic documentation shots lol

  87. Alexander Beck

That Flight was in Elon terms a great success ๐Ÿ˜… Keep doing what you are doing!๐Ÿค—

  88. dire saint

Woohoo, I’ve been looking forward to seeing this.

Also, a little bird told me they found Lumineer.
    *cough* Xyla *cough*

  89. Harrison Bergeron

Cool Wondered what the final outcome was after you ended the live stream an at least you didn’t stick you head to a table.

  90. SenoreQueso

Hey Joe has anyone told you before that you really rock those purple gloves?

  91. Daydream Interactive

Who else is watching this while doing online classes

  92. Stochastic Signal

Oh baby, Icarus Thiccarus is back! I’m super excited for the avionics video. I laughed out loud when you put your head in the epoxy!

  93. Loading 0319

Wow this series will be awesome seeing all of the individual parts being made

  94. Charlie Garcia

You’re just teasing us with all the flight footage in this video….

  95. Mridul Singh

    Lets goo, support from India!

  96. Stoic Finance

  97. Nick Brown

Yeah Lumineer’s cool and all, but Joe where did you get that Armadillo Aerospace mug?
