  2. Thomas Chow

Going on such a flight should be a Blue Origin employee benefit

  3. Buck Necked

Calling these 3 people astronauts is like calling a kid flying a kite a aeronautical engineer!

  4. TrumpetVet

    Should use Star Trek music!!

  5. huduman

Great to see William Shatner so happy and having such a wonderful experience.

  6. Eric Abrahamson

  7. Paris Ashcroft

I hope they enjoy that minute. Maybe it’s not healthy for a 90yr old to spend days in space?

  8. thomas nikkola

William Shatner looks unbelievable for 90! He’s deffinetly taken care of himself! Wow! And I’m sure there’s physical shape tests do ride this rocket! Chalk one up for all the seniors out here! Go get em y’all!

  19. Elon Musk

    Nice publicity stunt, shaved egg

  20. lasersbee

It floored me to find that William Shatner is 90 years old. He looks great and a lot younger than that.

  21. Jim O'Callaghan

I do understand that to earn the right to be called an “astronaut,” high-flying civilians will have to make it past the so-called Kármán line…Yup, the Kármán line…that ARBITRARY boundary sits some 62 miles (100 kilometers) above Earth’s surface, which is actually just a stone’s throw in atmospheric terms. Hell, it’s only one-sixth the driving distance between San Francisco and Los Angeles! Yes, you’re weightless and it’s generally accepted as the place where Earth ends and outer space begins…but that’s debatable…It’s also well within the clutches of Earth’s overpowering gravitational pull and expansive atmosphere. So, how did humans come to accept this relatively nearby location as the defining line between Earth and space?

**The answer is partly based on physical reality and partly based on an arbitrary human construct. That’s why the exact altitude where space begins is something scientists have been debating since before we even sent the first spacecraft into orbit. However, when the “Big Three” get it together and put a PAYING civilian customer in ORBIT for a coupla’ days and bring him/her back…OK, THEN you’ve got something!

  22. Alan Cristhian

Suppose that BO never goes orbital. So wat? You guys are so annoying. You are ruining the comment section.

  23. AMEEN RASHID

Go.. go.. go.. 🚀 mashaallah 😘

  24. Outdoor Explorer

Wow it’s sweet how you guys (Blue Origin) are bringing the science fiction legend William Shatner into orbit… Oh wait it’s just a publicity stunt and a photo shoot with William Shatner as he enters the very edge of space for a brief second. Kind of disrespectful if you think about how the main characters roll in Star Trek (James Tiberius Kirk) is to explore deep space. 🤔

  25. Cirris

Shatner will be the second Star Trek actor that went to space.

  26. Steve Grumpka

When William Shatner at 90 looks better than me at 50! Good Luck to the whole crew! Amazing time to be here!

  27. Robert Lampke

    A dream come true !!!

  28. Alfredo Mario Ramos

Mr. Spock would say “It´s logic to send Captain Kirk into space. Who deserves it more?”
    Good luck Captain!

  29. Chris Brown

I think this is just fantastic. I know this kind of event is not quite open for the average human being yet.But some day it will. If I were to compare it to anything ,I’d compare it to the days I spent working as an Avioncs eng tech on the Concorde fleet. Ok it wasn’t eco-atmosphere, but it was high and fast! People would save their 50 pence pieces, 20 pence pieces just to have a supersonic lunch flight. The best thing about it was the faces of people boarding, the faces onboard as they accelerated down the runway, the reintroduction of the reheat, the passing of Mach 1 & 2 . Looking out the window at 60,000ft. Yes they could make out the curvature of planet earth. At the end of the flight the happy faces, the chat going on, clutching their inflight souvenir pack & supersonic flight certificates. But it was that feeling of an ambition achieved. A lifetimes dream. For us as engineers & for the crew and pilots. Out joy was seeing their joy. That’s what Blue Origin and New shepherd are doing today. Godspeed to all 4 on board. Let’s make space flight amazing. To experience the rocket power, the noise, the weightlessness, the Spector planet earth from a great altitude. I really hope it does open up to every human on earth.

  30. Feel Good

Is it or Audrey looks like an ewesome destroyer of Aliens?

  31. Robert Shaw IV

The New Shepard rocket-capsule combo will lift off from Blue Origin’s Launch Site One, near the West Texas town of Van Horn, at 9 a.m. local time (10 a.m. EDT; 1400 GMT). A live webcast of the mission will begin about 90 minutes before liftoff, and you can watch it live in the window above, courtesy of Blue Origin. The webcast will also stream live on YouTube

  32. KsNewSpace

  36. Gail Winner

So which one of those 2 dudes is the one who paid the ungodly amount of money for the first flight and then had to let someone else go first because he had an appointment and instead went on the second crew flight?

Good luck with Shepherd booster ❤️ We will rock space for the sake of humanity. Love from every single space adventure fan, no matter which corner of earth we belong ❤️

  56. Sleepyhead fpv

Totally one of those people who chooses Star Wars over Star Trek. But the Shat-man deserves this. He deserves a orbit mission!

You know the greatest danger facing us is ourselves, an irrational fear of the unknown. But there’s no such thing as the unknown — only things temporarily hidden, temporarily not understood. – CPT Kirk
