    Earth to scale. Imagine hell.

  2. Wout G.

Hi, amazing video once again! I think the iopscience link is wrong though. It refers to a paper about Centaurs (the rocky kind, not the mythical ones).

  3. Sean M

This is just an enormous electrical arc.
Here on earth electricity performs the same way. Electrical arcs are hotter than the current that the arcs are formed from. No??

  4. Pax N

That rug on his head needs some help

  5. KS Scientist or rapper

Dude your channel has been like my Netflix during this pandemic. Thank you frfr

  6. Octopus

I remember a few weeks ago you mentioned this and how we did not know why it was so much hotter or by what mechanics, so its pretty cool to get an answer so fast

  7. Jean Vallee

I thought it was because they were running it too lean….

  8. Cosmic Prison

You thought Corona news for 2020 were done already, didn’t you? 😊

  9. Xi Jinping

Anton 😍😍😍 plz be the head of my space agency

  10. Jerry Polverino

In my old age, now 74, I have witnessed the explanations of many former mysteries. This is another fantastic story. I would never have guessed the Suns heat output is partially magnetic.
    Great video

  11. Ese Callum

This was explained by the The Plasma Universe Theory years ago….

  12. Steve-o

The Sun a total mystery that has been kept a mystery by its Blinding Light…

  13. Gerrie

    Hello Wonderful Anton :o)

  14. Tina 11:11

    Thanks Anton 🙏🏼

  15. SD Marlow

Sounds like the sun’s version of lighting. Also, does that make the corona glass (in gaseous form)?

  16. Самотній Гном

Plasma-based life accumulates this temperature :)

  17. Kenny Graddick

    Anton has ‘’bed hair” lol

  18. Steve Davis

Really interesting topics you discuss and explain Anton. Keep it up I feel I’m getting a free education.

  19. Klaus H

I thought that was Neil Degrasse, until I read his name tag.

  20. Steve Owens

Thanks Anton. This was a good plausible explanation for the high temperature in the corona. When a star reaches very old age, having burned all of its heavier elements, would the corona then dissipate?

  21. Michael Ransom

    its a giant microwave oven!

  22. bluegreensubmarine

My favorite YouTube channel by far. Thank you so much.

  23. Koru

Merry Christmas Anton and thank you for your wonderful channel.

  24. Charlie Guwop

Everyday this dude solves a galactic mystery. Yeah ok.

  25. Daniel G

All those photos make me want to visit the sun. I’ll go at night, it’ll be cooler.

  26. Vinh Pham

even the Sun has a hot situation on going of Corona, what hope for Earth?

  27. pRotz 〉2000kv

Really love your stuff. Keep it up!

  28. Lady-in-Red -

    ❤❤

  29. U P

    Hello wonderful humanoid.

  30. Carahan

2:21 On the sun, everything is bigger than Texas. So much for everything is bigger in Texas.

  31. Robin Hack

If you’ve never seen the corona with your own eyes: it’s a total bucket list….absolutely mind blowing.

  32. Lloyd Dupont

How “tiny” are those “really really tiny” explosion, I wonder?
Barely 1000 times bigger than Hiroshima hey? :P

  33. Ric Brunner

You really have the crazy scientist look today.

  34. Helen George

    1:16 I nearly lost my house if I had not come across this, Start it also here at ,., *e z g o o d p a y*

  35. Lemon Lady

Finally! Although more to go, a huge mystery unraveling. Ty, Anton! And Merry Christmas & HNY!! “Yoooou light up my nights do do do daaa…”

  36. Paleofrogitarianism

The close up of the sun makes me feel uncomfortable

  37. Thomas Shuman

    6:31

  38. John Cooper

Wonderful update, thank you for the info. Shouldn’t Alfven Waves be a described contributor to this extreme heating of the Sun’s Corona too? Just a guy asking questions – John F. Cooper III

  39. Stephen Fairchild

Just done an images search on 1970’s flares.

  40. Mr K Lakhan ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

*In short:* Basically, the Sun 🌞 is
..an atom. Welcome to Fractals. 🤷🏽‍♂️

  41. Carlton B

I just had to make a choice of videos to watch, “We Finally Know Why Sun’s Corona Is So Extremely Hot”, and “The Truth About Bologna Meat Finally Revealed”. It was close, but I think I made the right choice.

  42. Benjamin Rich

Hmm. This implies that red dwarves may have a much lower stellar wind than their size would suggest.

  43. A.L Streams Channel

Wow, I wonder if this has anything to do with an answer to why there are so few pulsars and gamma ray bursts!!!

  44. Interview

Got unsubbed but you got rerecommended to me somehow within a week.

  45. DGtv - Daemon Gaming TV

Hey, look, you were able to make a video with the word ‘corona’ in it and not get a mismatched C*VID warning! Nice!

  46. Wapper Jaw

We Finally Know … but we can’t prove it … LOL… gonna have to give you a TD for wasting 8:05 minutes of my time! Don’t do it again!

  47. Narus Ferree

A tiny explosion that delivers heat from the main body to the surrounding environment, in turn cooling the surface.
    So, Sol is sweating.
    Got it.

  48. MC's Creations

    Pretty interesting! Hot topic! 😬

  49. Yeetin Boomer

    Like a “solar afterburner”?

  50. Bob Thompson

    11:15 THE SUN IS FLAT!!!!
    lmao

  51. Dinosaur Emperor

Huh, I wonder what implications those heavier elements will have if star lifting ever becomes a thing.

  52. Krish

For a moment i read the title as “Corona heating the sun”
And started wondering if Sun is infected with Corona 🤣🤣🤣

  53. Attilah23

You do a great job in your presentations Anton. It’s always a pleasure to watch your videos. You are a wonderful person! Cheers!

  54. Lee Nettleton

11:46 I knew it was possible and it was great to witness.

  55. Spear Shaker

Is that x a magnetic field makes the source for a lot of symbolism.

  56. bob shaw

Just to be clear, he isnt talking about the virus

  57. Rossco Galloway

thanks for putting the youtube ads at the end of the videos Anton. you truly are a ‘wonderful person’ yourself. i’ve been watching for years. fantastic informative content.

  58. Mattia Magnano

“That is the wrong ice cube” ahahahahah

  59. Guitarazzo

Wonderful! Thousand Icecube. I’m still laughing.

  60. Anne Jo Lee Harvard

Thank you for your time, effort and research, thanks for helping to inspire education!

  61. Ctenomy

Can’t it also be related with the recently discovered “camp fires” by the Parker probe?

  62. Kiwibikerbuddy

00:34 – the Sun has freckles! Melanin? The Sun has been out in the sunshine too long?

  63. AckzaTV

10:35 “We may have finally found how Corona works”….. huh? what now?…..

  64. Craig Yanta

Thank you. Sounds like real physics is being used in this investigation.

  65. Chris Vaeyens

    Euuuhhm, because it’s the SUN?!

  66. Ladi Gigi

Man, the sun has ‘Rona, too it’s getting a fever!

  67. ffggddss

“The corona is this region around the Sun…”
Oh, so that’s where they get the beer!! . . . Or the virus?
    Fred

  68. V D

This is how corona news should look like! Thank you Anton for your interpretation ;)

  69. Tragoudistros.MPH

Thanks for putting this discovery into context! Knowing more of the sun needs to be see and that only a small region was analyzed is really helpful.
    So exciting!

  70. Chilibilly Yo

    Me: Trying to educate myself.
    My brain : “corona” lo0ol

  71. TheElectricOrigins

Didn’t you really know? So I’ve heard tens of times.

  72. deadhorse

The “hypothesis” fixed it for you, theory is testable and repeatable and regarded as truth.

  73. Brian Steele

So, still a mystery. There’s a piece missing. I have an idea what that is.

  74. Matthew Suffidy

Maybe some of the stuff going on is easier without a lot of stuff in the way.

  75. Andrew Benner

I was thinking about this just yesterday. And I saw the thumbnail and said bs*

  76. Slydiggidydog

M-m-m-my Carona. Your content is enjoyed and appreciated, thanks for sharing!

  77. EyeDreamMellowDees

more interested in identifying faint music playing in background…

  78. Calumniate None

In the beginning there was only one corona :)

  79. Little Mr Pinkness

Very cool. That has always intrigued me how it’s hotter further out.

  80. Cogent Dynamics

Thank you for so many really incredible explinations of stuff I would otherwise just never know about. You are fantastic!

  81. nodvick

2:50 the look of this conversion to visible light looks like its been passed through a colorblind filter

  82. TayZonday

So basically, the heavier elements that also make humans are attracted to magnetic lines and cause nonstop micro-flares. Some heavy element atoms became corona flares. Others cooled off and became us.

  83. cyberprompt

    “microsnapping” i wouldn’t know.

  84. bob mullet

Love your videos man. Not sure how or when I found your channel, but much appreciated

  85. King Artaxerxes

I remember in the Lost in Space movie, they went through the sun in faster than light speed.

  86. Malec

Thank you for making content through the holidays, 10/10 the best channel to learn things and be entertained from.

  87. Brent Wilbur

Title: “We finally know…” Later: “So we’re still not really sure…”

  88. Chris V

I love it when Anton’s hair is a bit messy!

  89. Cthulhu Hoops

    Cue the electric universe people.

  90. Riccardo Stella

    anybody: “degrees kelvin”
    me, an intellectual: “:p”

  91. Jesus Cadena

Great job as always Anton. You’re the best

  92. Ricky Singleton

Thank you for bringing subjects that I would probably not even hear about, and explain it in simple to understand language.

  93. Geoff Strickler

So, it’s basically a continuous magnetic “lightning” storm. Solar lightning induced by magnetism.

  94. Long Schlong

Props to the camera man that went all the way to the Sun and capture those gigantic ring of fire 👌

  95. Im 33 and it sucks.

I remember as a kid a lot of questions about the universe were unanswered and most still are but it’s amazing to see us figure things out one by one.

  96. Dally H.

I am surprised there’s no “Get the latest information from the CDC about COVID-19” under the title.

  97. there is no place 4 u in

That picture of the surface looks so cool.

  98. Bram Moerman

So, the sun is essentially an inductive cooktop

  99. 「 Dante 」

“Other regions being extremely cold, only a few thousand degrees”

  100. Jake Elliott

The Ice Cube had me chuckling 😂
