    Anton, your t-shirt…

  5. Thomas Fleig

We only need to put water bags around the crew to protect them.

  6. Daddy Dan

Good evening from the UK Anton. I have been a sub since the low thousands!! Keep up the good work and i am glad you sorted out your living situation. Take care. 👍🏻

  7. Galactic Cannibl

Who else thought that said Van Halen initially? Rest in peace

  8. CJ Villeneuve

nasa said that they dont have the technology to cross the van hallen belt anymore… ???? i still wonder what they really mean when they stated this…???

  9. cherry nuka cola

the earth magnetosphere is 10 times weaker than a typical kitchen magnet, if we used some magnetic device and some sort of tubes which are connecting the device with earth then we could harvest the giga energy from that vanhelsing belt

    ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

    100 BILLION degrees farenheit…..wowzers!

How many time Anton say bye bye in this video 👇

  13. Summer Brooks

Dr. Santilli of Arizona, working for the Vatican near Tucson, one cloudy night, aimed his telescope at the clouds on a whim. There, he discovered Anti-matter entities. He photographed them and posted an article in a prestigious journal proving their existence. His videoed experience is on YouTube. However, I wonder if the origin of these anti-matter entities is not the Van Allen radiation belts? Or if these belts we’re not created by some kind of alien life form? Something to think about.

Anton, we know Mars has lost this but does Venus have anything like our protection…i.e. life in the upper atmosphere being able to survive the sun’s outbursts like us? asking for a friend…lol

I want to work on this stuff so bad. NASA, please take me. I will not only take a pay cut, I will actually pay to be able to work on this.

So the space station is 220 miles from the earth and Hubble is about 340 miles, both located closer to the earth but Hubble is farther. Still considered low earth orbit…which is under 1200 miles from the earth…. they are constantly falling towards the earth.

  20. DrKuddly

So basically… Earth gave us an energy piggy bank using the magnetic field? Or am I the kid in the back who fell asleep before class even started? 😔

  21. David Brelin

I get the trapping of charged particles but what I find fascinating is the trapping of radiation. One could look at them as dynamically variable tuned cavities shaped roughly into a nested taurus configuration. Interestingly, the third one only appears on the night side of the planet after increased energy input from the sun.

  22. RicardoA BH

Since the belt are charged… a space station with giant tether could generate power?

  23. Land·on·off Mars

Watching the transparencies on your T-shirt, it occurred to me you could have a green cardboard circle on your chest with a planet inside (or other objects, like satellites or meteorites). In this way, your usual space background becomes a dynamic background for the planet.

  24. Luke Campbell Brennan

here’s hoping for belt-powered lasers for interstellar sails

apparently the triangle on antons shirt is the same color as his greenscreen

  27. Levi Owen

Way to go I love ur data

  28. Organon

    Earth? Never heard of it.

  29. Roger Williams

    That was ridiculously interesting

  30. Nikorasu

If we can get antimatter from the belt why not the Sun?

  31. sobreaver

I bet a lot of woman had the same opinion of Van Halen’s belt ;) oh w8 oo

PS: This anti-matter bugs my mind a bit, I mean, to understand what it really stands for in the realm of ‘reality’ o0

  32. nicholas w

Use the belts to run a laser to blast energy back to earth.

  33. Aakash Sharma

    Are you chewing tobacco Anton..?

  34. The Kiosk

    Van Allen. Iowa represent!

  35. Vanta Blue

I sure hope they do research about what could happen before they start harvesting any of that anti-matter. I mean, it could be that it helps keep the fields stable.

  36. Bobby Pentland

Anton! Wonderful friend hope all is well🎃. These belts are very interesting and informative. Thanks for sharing this great video. See you soon!

    Nice update, as usual.
A shame that so many of your followers are delusional conspiracy theorists.
Sign of the times, I guess. LOL

  39. JenneeB927

Hello Wonderful person! Am I the only one so old that they thought about The Fantastic Four? Yes? Ok, I’ll leave now…👋

  40. Jean-Francois Desrosiers

    Van Allen was instrumental. 4:40

  41. MrLunithy

Hello Anton have you done a video about the guy who proved the solar winds?.

  42. Benny

Wonder if satellites could extract energy from the Van Allen belts?

  43. Phil Castillo

I’ve always wonder how the magnetic field is effected by the solar wind? Every visual shows the the magnet fields fluctuating but how does radiation push around magnetism?

  44. brainbah

The triangle in the center of your shirt picks up the animations and it looks awesome

  45. Paradigm Shifts

The belt which if you fly through unprotected, you either turn into Superman, or you melt like a candle! LOVE your channel ANTON!!!!

  46. Shadowhenge

3rd belt is a planetary shield provided by ancient aliens. ;)

  47. Frenk Frenk

I like the old layout better and I don’t like the 60fps when I watch on my phone instead of iPad. Just some feedback. I love you Anton, we do!

  48. ronald white

    Thank – you .

  49. Kaarli Makela

WHAT? And give up fossil fuel? :D :D :D

  50. Goldenhordemilo

i heard it was from the submarines

  51. brainbah

My mom taught me allll about the belt lol

  52. cherry nuka cola

  53. Shkotay D

I am happy to be a wonderful person :D

  54. TheMSS1977

    Wonderful insight!

  55. Mark Fischer

Excitation of the belts is believed to be one of three phenomena associated with the nuclear blackout effect.

  56. Germain Holmes

Ofcourse we are gonna plunder it right? Damn the concequences.

  57. Michael Vaughn

Your to young to remember but to reach the moon the rockets had to circle the earth in order to get enough speed and force to reach the moon it wasn’t possible on rocket fuel alone .

  58. Bee Dee Bee

I knew Earth was a donut.
    Who’s Laughing Now Academia?!
    Bwahahahahaha

  59. Dionysius

Near-relativistic speeds get said some of these particles were being accelerated to, I believe there’s something to study and apply to faster than light travel here!

  60. L-R-G_Julian

Great video thank you for the info ! Space out! 🖖

  61. Stephen Shambley

could those high energy particles in the 3rd belt speed up a solar sail?

  62. pavel datsyuk

Glad you changed the gibberish intro haha . Amazing channel!

  63. Aaron Walderslade

I love the way you have a picture of the Earth spinning, and actually add the “date” as if it is something accurate and scientific, and not completely made up by ground dwelling animals called humans.

  64. Neil Gault

    HD is looking good, Anton!

  65. QuartuvLarry

I live in Van Allen‘s hometown. We call it “Retirementville.” Naught but kids and old folks here. Pain in the ass to find a decent place serving breakfast on Sunday 🤨

  66. matyourin

Dont confuse Van Allen with Van Halen!, who sometimes had a belt, too! :D

  67. Audial Asphyxiation

Harvesting antimatter from the Van Allen Belts. Wow! What an amazing concept. I know that scientists at CERN have been able to capture small quantities of anti-hydrogen with the LHC particle accelerator, but apparently it’s extremely difficult to contain for any meaningful period of time. Maybe one day in the future we will be able to harness antimatter to power rockets/probes at ultra-relativistic energies.

  68. GOZR

Most informational channel. Thank you .. this is my Kid elder science class :) do not give up this is awesome !

  69. Torben Zenth

your video looks amazing now. Always great content, thank you Anton!

  70. Michael Fulciniti

The photon structure function, in quantum field theory, describes the quark content of the photon. While the photon is a massless boson, through certain processes its energy can be converted into the mass of massive fermions. The function is defined by the process e + γ → e + hadrons

  71. Jane Lawson

COVID shut down has meant that I have met up with you and your wonderful information. Not that I’m happy with being locked away but I definately am happy to have met you. Thanks

  78. Ciaran Conway

I like how the greenscreen goes through your shirt. It looks cool actually

  79. Igor Almeida

the Sun has a magnetosphere too?

  80. Silas Dense

    Antimatter?
    Wow! Didn’t know about that.

Thanks for another great video, Anton.

  81. A S

Im so scared that Im gonna wake up to a video of yours telling us a black hole accidentally got created in a lab or some shit

  82. Joey Fleming

I’ve had a rough week and with all going on tou STILL call me wonderful person, thank you soo much for everything you teach us here.

  83. Rodrigo Valle Teixeira

Great explanations, as usual. Clear and to the point. Excelent work, Anton!

  84. C-S featured

Anton, what happened to your video openings?

  85. BigWord

Coat your spinning habitat in selenomelanin, and park it right in the Van Allens. That’s a lot of real estate.

  86. Baleur

What if a moon orbits inside the van allen belt of its parent planet?
    Oof..

  87. Drakijy

I’m not going to sugar coat it, Wonderful Anton, I miss the “What da Math” intro. You deliver fantastic information as always, however!

  88. Justanother Oglesby

So we’re going to turn Jupiter into a antimatter gas station. Full service stop at the big red spot. 😏

  89. David

Just like a mother, the Earth protects her children

  90. David Lightman

Could you do a video on how the lunar module ascended from the moon and then reconnected with the command module which was travelling at 3.600 mph, nearly 5 times the speed of sound? It would also be nice if you could address this statement:
Driven by a non-gimbaled, fixed-thrust engine and powered by Aerozine 50 fuel and nitrogen tetroxide oxidizer, the hypergolic materials that provided the thrust necessary to get the LM off the Moon’s surface were so corrosive that they burned through the engine each time they were fired (requiring the engine be rebuilt). As a result, none of the ascent engines for any of the LMs were tested or fired prior to lifting the Apollo astronauts off of the Moon.

  91. MrPedur

Hello Anton. Thank you for all the lessons you force me to endure. I heard about enriched hydrogen in moon dust we would be able to use for clean combustion. Do you know anything about the status in relation to research into hydrogen combustion. Will it be realistic to expect something like that ?

  92. Ben Messenger

FYI. Not sure if it’s just because I’m in the UK, but the universe sandbox 2 link just says currently unavailable

  93. gday mate

G’day Bonzer Bloke. Wow belt mineing for antimatter. IQ jumped abit more. : ) Frm Oz

  94. The Memes of Destruction

So the biggest particle accelerator on Earth is the Earth? ^.^

  95. MC's Creations

Yeah, I was thinking exactly about that. To put detectors up there, instead of building a bigger particle accelerator.

  96. Helder Almeida

If this field goes away we are all cooked up

  97. Adymn Sani

why don’t we build a satellite to use the energies of the belt versus building a too expensive collider?

  98. Dana Holm

I had Dr. Van Allen in 1st semester Astronomy (the only undergrad course he taught) at U of Iowa back in the late 60s.

  99. Sandy Barnes

I love how aliens blew a perfect triangle shaped hole in Antons chest so we can see the screen behind him. 👽 🔺

  100. A D

The moral of the story is we live on a donut hole with an invisible donut on the outside.
