Wow, I remember learning black holes as a theory. Now the theory is planets forming around black holes.

I love these videos. Just imagine a black hole so large it creates stars around it, then make it even bigger so those stars can develop there own planets. Welcome home. Our own black hole has done this way before we where here. I love the way he explains these theories. It makes it alot easier to translate into common. Lol keep up the great work you wonderful person!

    Blanets, like moomoons! LoL 😃

You theorised in passing to possibilities of life sustaining blanets. Few facts are evident …

. No Goldilocks region; or a very very wide one
. No day / night for life to get to become aware of time
. No light, so evolution may not provide eyes
. No seasons & so no variations in weather
. Same weather pole to pole?
. Life there wouldn’t know if there is a moon!
. No sense of defined direction except a bare sense of 3D
. Flat Blaneters would rule! 😉

  60. Thomas Haines

    Thanks Anton! Thanton.

Hi Anton I am a regular on your channel. And You’re one of my favorite YouTube channels. I love science. I have commented on a lot of your vids. I recently came across someone one YouTube. He is a drummer. His name is Jack Thomas. He has a physical disability. But he rocks. Check his channel out. And please help to get his name out there. He deserves some recognition. He works hard.

  69. Heros Stratos

“They idea behind Blanets is very solid.“ 😁

  70. Aurinkohirvi

Woah, mind blown! Several light years diameter planetary systems!
Those giant blanets could have similar moons able to sustain life, as moons around gas giants.

  71. DJ

I wonder what sad person down votes your videos? I personally look forward to seeing a new upload daily. Keep up the great work.

  72. A

    2:50 it’s actually a wonderful cat.

  73. vitor maroso

Man, I really think I’m obsessed with your vids

  74. PenPenguin

I feel like they should have spent a little more time coming up with a cooler name than “Blanets”, but that’s just me.

  82. Mayro

With the logic of this nomenclature, wouldn’t Earth be classified as a ‘Stlanet’?

  83. sski

  96. Jiminy Lummox

In the far future, the blanets would be a good spot to build black hole research labs

  97. Silas Dense

It never occured to me about planet formations in such a region.
    I’m having a “why didn’t I think of that” moment. 🤔😊
    Another fascinating video.
    Thanks Anton !
    👏👏👏👏👏

  98. Deepak Varanasi

Goldilocks black holes: just when I thought I had heard it all. 👍

  99. PsyintZ

So, is it safe to say that if that poor cat were to spend a few thousand years rolling around in foam packing peanuts, it would eventually become a cat-planet? Or, in more recent scientific terms, a “canet?”

  100. C-S featured

    Planets around a black hole?

    Those aren’t mountains, they’re WAVES…
